In the event of severe weather or other emergency preventing the opening of the school, including advice from Public Health England relating to any outbreak of illness or disease, the school will send a message to the Local Authority, notification will be put onto the front page of the school website and local radio stations will be informed.
Parents will also be informed directly via email and Tapestry.
The decision to close the school will not be taken lightly, and will be done in conjunction with the Chair of Governors and the Head Teacher. This decision will be taken as close to 6.30am as possible, if it relates to overnight circumstances. The decision will be solely based on the safety of all our staff, children and parents.
